PASTORAL CARE

Tully and Merle are the two pastors at Tinkling Spring.  Each week our pastors stand at the doors following worship to greet members and to share time with them.  The pastors take time to visit in the homes of members, praying before and after surgeries, surrounding families with care during times of loss, and sharing times of joy when babies enter their families.

If you would like to contact one of our  pastors, please call the church office at 885.0746.

ABC GIRLS

Three friends came together after two of us became breast cancer survivors and the third survived a heart attack.  After the many prayers and blessings we received, we wanted to do something to give back, so we started a visitation ministry to members in our church and to friends in our community.  After several weeks, we decided we needed a name for our threesome.  We took the first initial of our last names, Ellen Arey, Gail Byrd, and Betsy Coleman and became the ABC Girls.

We visit members and friends in their homes, in hospitals, in nursing homes, in assisted living, and in retirement centers.  We also send cards, prepare and deliver meals, and wear many hats throughout the year, distributing bags of candy, and baked goods, as well as flowers and other items, to bring a smile to the faces of many.

We are very thankful for this opportunity to serve and do God's work and especially for the joys and blessings we receive.  Every day remember to live, laugh and love.

    MEALS FOR NEW MOMS

This ministry is offered to support families in our congregation who are welcoming a new baby or child to their homes.  We will provide them with dinner every other night for two weeks so that the families can spend more time together and not have to worry about cooking.

If you would like to share the love of Christ by taking a meal to a church family with a new baby or child, please call Lara Marcum at (324-0794).  Your name will be added to our list, and you will be contacted when we have a family with a new baby or child.

Special Note ** If you are an "expecting family" within our congregation and you haven't heard from Lara, please give her a call so she can send you further information.

    CD MINISTRY
Each week, at least one worship service is recorded.  Volunteer members copy the service onto a CD and mail it, along with a bulletin, to our homebound members.  This ministry keeps our homebound members connected with the family of faith. If you would like to be a part of this ministry as a volunteer or participant, please contact our church office.

    SOUND MINISTRY
The Sound Ministry at Tinkling Spring serves at the 8:30 and 11:00 services on Sunday mornings.  Training is provided on how to use our sound system and a rotation of members serve in this ministry on a monthly basis.  If you are interested in serving in this ministry please contact Pastor Tully at 885-0746.
