The staff and Session are excited to share that we have resumed in-person worship service each Sunday, at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.
Another opportunity to show our gratitude for the bountiful gifts God has given us. At Tinkling Spring, we are blessed to have a wonderful staff, a comfortable and pleasing facility, in perhaps the most beautiful valley imaginable. We come together here to praise God, fellowship together, and share our lives with other Christians. We do our best to help each other grow in faith, raise our families, and serve our community through our outreach programs.2020 has been, and continues to be, a challenging time for all of us. Partisan politics and COVID-19 have presented us with challenges far beyond what we could have imagined. We have been faced with difficult choices, but, through it all, we know that our strength comes from our faith that God is in control and our belief in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. This year’s Spiritual Gifts theme is “Drawing from the Spring,” based on the story of the woman at the well, as related in the Gospel of John, Chapter 4. Pastor Patrick will be preaching on the ramifications of her encounter with Jesus and what lessons we can draw from His teachings. In the last chapter of the Book of Revelation, John describes a river with the water of life, the holy city, and the return of Jesus. He says, “Come. Let the thirsty ones come — anyone who wants to. Let them come and drink the water of life without charge.” We are offered the water of life, and we are challenged, as a congregation and as individuals, to share it with others. Our church is a focal point for us, a gathering place where we can grow as a family of faith. We acknowledge that all of our time, talent, and treasure are gifts from God, and that we are blessed beyond measure.Dedication Sunday is November 15. As you pray over what your commitments of time, talent, and treasure will be to continue the ministry of Tinkling Spring, remember that everything you have has been entrusted to your use and faithful stewardship by none other than God Almighty.
Blessings from the Spiritual Gifts Ministry,
Randy Houff (Chairperson), Alan Biskey, and Shirley Woytach
