The eldest of three boys in a Navy family, Brint grew up along the East Coast attending the Episcopal church, with much of his childhood in Norfolk. During college he left the Church and served as a naval officer for seven years before God used a (Presbyterian) senior officer to bring him back to the Church and the faith. He subsequently resigned his officer commission and followed God’s call to serve as a PCUSA Mission Volunteer in Nan, Thailand for three years, where he taught ESL. Upon his return, he married Carla (also from a Navy family) and joined her at Princeton Theological Seminary to study for the M.Div. Since then, God has called Brint to serve congregations in Belfast, Philadelphia, Baton Rouge, Atlanta, and Richmond, as well as two years as UP Seminary’s Director of Admissions. He is a member of the PCUSA’s Committee on Theological Education (COTE) and serves as COTE’s representative to the PCUSA Task Force on Ordination Standards. He and Carla have two adult children, Deborah & Elijah. Brint enjoys woodworking, singing, yardwork, biking, and projects around the house.
Harriet is a child of Tinkling Spring. She has been engaged with this community of faith since the fall of 1970, when her parents moved her family to Stuarts Draft. Tinkling Spring is where Harriet was confirmed, married her husband Greg, and brought their children, Morgan and Devon, to be baptized and grow in faith. As a young mother, Harriet began volunteering at the weekday Early Childhood Learning Center before joining the staff as a teaching aid and later becoming a lead teacher in the three-year-old class. God’s call to continue to serve in the church has also included ordination as a Deacon and Ruling Elder, directing mid-week ministry, Vacation Bible School, and teaching Sunday School. In 2002, Harriet heard God’s call again to serve as the Director of Christian Education. During this time, she completed a BA in Religion with a minor in Peacemaking and Conflict Resolution at Mary Baldwin University. Currently, she serves on the Shenandoah Presbytery’s Committee for the Preparation for Ministry. Now, over 20 years later, Harriet and Greg have been blessed to watch their children grow, and their family now includes a wonderful daughter-in-law and 3 glorious grandchildren. You will often find Harriet sharing time with them, enjoying a good book, or trying out a new recipe.

Working professionally with youth, young adults, and children since 2002, John has served churches in Virginia and North Carolina, including First Presbyterian Church, Staunton and Massanutten Presbyterian Church in Rockingham County, Virginia. In addition to serving congregations, John has taught all ages from preschool through college at Stuart Hall School in Staunton and Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Through all these endeavors, John's time and talents have been dedicated to discipling young people to a life of faith in Jesus Christ.
John currently resides in Staunton, Virginia with his amazing wife (Jenna) and daughter (Sara) and their two pups, Coco and Porter. When not actively engaged in ministry, he is most often found in his woodworking shop or afield hunting, fishing, or hiking.
Carol was born and raised across the mountain in Nelson County. After school she moved to California and that is where she took her first secretarial job working at a law firm. One year while home for Christmas, she met her husband, Pete. That was 40 years ago and they have now been married 38 years. They have one daughter and three grandchildren. Carol says, "I did not know the Lord until later in life, but thankfully the Lord called both my husband and I to him, and for that, I am forever grateful!" Between working, attending grandson's and granddaughter's sporting events, and keeping the youngest grandchild, who is 4, Carol stays pretty busy. In her free time, her favorite things are spending time with family and sitting on her back porch reading.

Inspired by his older sister’s love for music, Kemper began piano lessons at the age of 9. Since then, music ministry has remained a meaningful and consistent part of his life, and he has provided service music to various congregations throughout the years.
In January 2012, he joined the staff at TSPC to support the contemporary worship service and accompany the chancel choir. As worship has evolved over the years, so has his involvement. Kemper deeply values the role of music in worship, finding contemporary styles especially moving while also appreciating the profound beauty of choral selections.
He is blessed with four children—Aaron, Jacob, Allison, and Julia—who bring great joy to his life. Beyond his family and ministry, he serves at Augusta Health as a Registered Nurse, a profession he has pursued since 2000. He currently holds the position of Director of Nursing for the Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation units. In addition to his work at the church, he performs with local theatre productions, allowing him to engage with a diverse range of musical and artistic expressions.
John grew up in a family of five in Central New Jersey. The family were active in the local
Methodist Church; during High School he had piano and organ lessons and served as substitute
organist there.
After receiving BS and MS Electrical Engineering degrees at college he was employed for 31 years
with the US Army Communications Research Labs at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.
During this time he met and married the love of his life, Joyce, and adopted her three children
from her previous marriage, giving him an instant family of five, later to be six with the birth
of their daughter.
After retirement he and two friends established the Shrewsbury Organ Company and built several
pipe organs for local churches.
He and Joyce and their daughter later moved to Fishersville, where they became active in TSPC
and joined the choir. John became the church organist in 1994 and still serves there.
John is thankful for the gifts of Faith, Hope, and Love he has enjoyed all his life.
